Shane Shackleton is an Australian professional rugby league player in the New South Wales Cup who currently plays for the Mount Pritchard Mounties. He last played in the NRL for the Penrith Panthers in 2012 and previously played for the Sydney Roosters from 2005–2009 and the Parramatta Eels from 2010-2012. His position of choice is at second row. Shackleton signed for the Parramatta Eels for a reported 3-year deal starting from 2010. After suffering one of the worst hamstring injuries seen by doctors, he has worked hard and is a regular off the bench for Parramatta. In early 2011 when Parramatta played the Gold Coast he was there to pounce on a bomb and score the match winner for Parramatta. He was selected for City in the City vs Country match on 8 May 2009.
